Welcome to The Stormtrooper Effect

This is where i will review and discuss toys, video games and movies. I collect 3 3/4 inch to 12 inch Star Wars, Iron Man, Batman, Halo toys and other movie memoribillia that appeal to me! As of late i am into Hot Toys 12' inch figures. Thank you for visiting my page and I hope you enjoy browsing through my site as much as I enjoy sharing it with you!

Tony Stark Kitbash

So now with the arrival of the Narrow Shouldered True Types, i can now get down with my long awaited Tony Stark's Kitbash!!!

scored me 2 of these Narrow Truetypes as they'd come in handy in the future for say DX Joker? Would be hauling another 2 more this coming weekend, judging by how well they fit on 1/6th clothes.

First and foremost, you'd need a narrow shouldered truetype as they fit best with suits and don't make the figure look too bulky round the arms.

I'm liking the new headsculpt already. Similiar to the released military figure, the secret service with G36c.

Narrow Shoulders True Type comes with the standard figure, a pair of hands and a neck post.

You'd need the Hot Toy's Men's Suits specifically for Tony Stark Kitbashes.

Now tell me who this resembles? Keanu's chin seems pretty obvious. the rest? is anyone's guess.

New Hot Toys TRUETYPE figure (Caucasian with narrowed shoulders)

Set comes with:
- 2 sets of bendable hands
- 2 neck styles
- Figure display stand
Release date: End Q2 – Early Q3, 2009

=======================
It seems pretty apparent the the headsculpt's been recycled from Hot Toy's Military Line, specifically the ERT secret service male. The likeness of James McAvoy is hiding somewhere there.
Back to the point however, this new narrowed shoulder figure would be extremely handy for those who'd be kitbashing bruce wayne and tony stark with hot toys' yet to be released 1/6th suits. ( IS TFH doing any preorders??? do inform me!!! ) However the main use will most likely be for those who had preordered the deluxe Joker, and need an extra body to fit with the original costume given.
I'd most likely preorder at least 4, gotta stock up on these things before they run out. Though i preferred the Tom Cruise likeness more...

Hot Toys True Type Figure ( tom cruise likeness )

love the articulation on the Hot Toy's true type figures...realistic and when worn with fabric costumes the outline and body structure's kinda accurate...

Using this True Type body for the james bond kitbash...hence removal of the Cruise head.

Loading Toys The Courier

After the undisputed success with their Dangerous Man release, which resembled Daniel Craig as James Bond. I was first dubious of their quality and reputation, it being a new company. But my faith in Loading Toys are now cemented after my purchase of the Dangerous Man aka Bond.

So its to my greatest pleasure, that loading toys are releasing yet another sculpt, and pretty decent accessories to boot, ladies and gentlemen, Jason Statham.

I do believe that this release is also due to the hype and buildup to Transporter 3.

Pretty accurate likeness there.

Comes with....
-1 Jason Statham likeness headsculpt
-1 U.S. military sweater
-1 Tactical Pants
-1 Diplomat Bag
-1 G18C
-1 G18C Long Magazine
-1 511 Low Caliga
To note the head's made of resin, so its something you don't wanna drop.

Rather love the military sweater. Hopefully its quality would be a tad better than Dangerous Man's polo which was way too thin. The glow sticks that come with this figure would be something new though dubious to me...considering glowsticks are a one use thing.
All in all a pretty useful figure for kitbashes and Saturday toy's men's suits. Gonna need more of those....and till its released, i'd wait patiently.

Hunt for Silenced UMP 1/6th scale

Hunting for a UMP with silencer in the 1/6th scale for my 007 bond kitbash. Would appreciate any help and locations to recommend.
Yellow box trade has long since sold out. CSC doesn't seem to have it. ( would appreciate heads up if you do come across it during your shopping trips!)

as yet these are the few weapons i bought for my kitbash, with the m249, coming from the 75th regiment figure.

Loading Toys Daniel Craig James Bond Headsculpt

A pretty decent headsculpt if you ask me... though i'd be much more hyped up had the face been a tad' more aggressive or intense instead of this rather doped look. But i must hand it to Loading Toy's sculpt. However i can't be certain of its quality as yet. (still trust hot toys more )
the accessories/stuff that come with this figure are:
1 head (the sculpt in the picture)
1 black shirt
1 blue jacket
1 jeans
1 lettering version p99
1 p99 silencer
1 511 low calinga

looks pretty awesome to me, but to note, it DOES NOT COME with the body, though the head fits HT true type body. BBI, etc.
$80 at TFH.
thinking of preordering this considering the upcoming BOND movie and ''Defiance'' which would make this headsculpt pretty useful for a kitbash. (as long as HT doesn't do a better one)
would appreciate comments on whether any of you collectors out there would get this sculpt and stuff.

Hot Toys 75th Regiment Marine with M249 custom kitbash

Finally, my very first Hot Toys Military figure! This being the Marine 75th regiment with m249, featuring Edward Norton's headsculpt! Absolutely fantastic figure with highly detailed equipment and accessories. The only flipside that i'd begrudge this figure is the fact that it didn't come with pistol clips for its M9 berretta.
I had much difficulty putting on the pouches and bags and whatnots for this figure, considering it was my first time, it was rather tedious indeed. And in the process i ripped several, ''connectors or hangon's or so to call, for the pouches which left me no choice but to tie those loose string bits to hold on to the multi purpose vest....
i will discuss this figure later in the day..as i'm already tired from repeatly trying to attach stuff to him.
but i must say i'm proud of this figure, as yet i do not wish to arm and display him with the m249 SAW, because i just somewhat dislike the gun, and hence replaced it with an M40 with a silencer in desert camo...
have yet to put on that balaclava though.
i'd see about that tomorrow...

Kitbash Planning

This picture is Golgo 013's, and you can check out his post here.

It's a fantastic kitbash of Hot toys USMC II MEF in tan flight suit, with a different body and suit

it was after viewing this picture that i'm somewhat itchin' to get down to building up my own KITBASH!

I'm using these photos below as reference for my kitbash. The character is PMC soldier from praying mantis off metal gear solid 4: guns of patriots. It's some sort of mix between the above pics and below pics. Would appreciate any form of help if anyone does see the items i'm looking for to create the character below.....the helmet, the headset, the kevlar, the suit and pants etc. (in the right colours)

And before i end, i'd like to make a shoutout to SHAUN, many thanks bro for helping me find that Black balaclava i needed at Playpen
