Why the name, The Stormtrooper Effect???

You troopers have dissapointed me for the last time!!!

Just fun facts for viewers.....how the name of this blog came about. I had always found how the stormtroopers in the star wars original trilogy somehow never seemed to hit on target (at a main character ) no matter the amount of blasterfire, or seemingly large numbers of troops they have.

Hence derived that terminology for this site.

===================

The Principle of Evil Marksmanship (also known as the Stormtrooper Effect among Star Wars fans) is that enemy marksmen in action films are often very bad shots and almost never harm the main characters. The term was coined by film critic Roger Ebert in the 1980s.

Imperial Stormtroopers in the original Star Wars trilogy, despite overwhelming numbers, professional military education and training, full armour, military-grade firepower, and noticeable combat effectiveness against non-speaking characters, were incapable of seriously harming or indeed even hitting the films' protagonists.

Obi-Wan Kenobi even comments to Luke Skywalker, when the pair finds the destroyed Jawa sandcrawler, "These blast-points... Only Imperial stormtroopers are so precise." Additionally, in Return of the Jedi, stormtroopers are easily dispatched by the technologically inferior Ewoks, who are primarily armed with primitive weapons such as slings, rocks, and sticks.

The GURPS roleplaying game makes reference to an "Imperial Stormtrooper School of Marksmanship", whose graduates are inexplicably poor shots; for example, "The Nazis in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade must all have studied at the Imperial Stormtrooper School of Marksmanship.", and even included optional rules titled Imperial Stormtrooper Marksmanship Academy designed to make large numbers of nameless characters ineffective.

Terminator Salvation: First Look

Thanks to Mirrornoob for this important headsup. As yet, Terminator salvation is THE movie and THE hype of 2009' just like how IronMan and The dark knight was for 2008, and star wars revenge of the sith was for 2005.
====================
I seriously pray that hot toys will kindly pick up the licence for John Connor, the suit and all including the weapons seems to be able to be kitbashed or have been done by Hot Toys before so it wouldn't be that hard for HT to put a figure like that together, apart from the ACOG scope on the rifle.
You can view the original page which posted this magazine picture, HERE

And if you didn't yet know, the T-800 from terminator 1, 2, and 3 stood 6 feet tall, whilst the new movie/ older model terminator T-600 stands 8' feet tall.

Hot Toys 12' inch Bank Robber Joker Photoshoot

Finally got around taking shots of my bank robber joker. Kudos to Mirrornoob for helping me figure out how to use the macro function of my camera.

Also would like to take the opportunity to thank both Desmond and Adrian for helping me make my decision, via their photoshoots, whether or not to cancel my pre-order...had i done so, i wouldn't have had such an awesome figure. ( pretty skeptical of its paint apps at first )

In my opinion, as yet my favourite toy of my 12' inch collection. Good thing i didn't cancel my preorder.

Joker's iconic pistol with the extended clip
''Bonzo mask'' - titled by The Dark Knight dvd subtitles.

''I believe, that whatever that doesn't kill you, simply makes you......stranger....''

''This city deserves a better class of criminal, and i'm gonna give it to them!!!''

Hot Toys Iron Man Cosbaby
