The Stormtrooper Effect: Joshua's Collection

Just got my shelf from ikea, and as such had spent the entire evening of saturday assembling and then displaying my figures.

That aside, i double up my jamming room as my display room too. with posters, toys, many toy boxes and my musical equipment cluttering the room. Here goes my pictures of my humble and as yet, small ( it won't be for long ) collection

*Note* the poster frame's more expensive than the poster itself. ironic.

I would like to mention here, that i've been collecting toys, since a young age but much of which has been lost in time, or broken ( by my younger brother ). As such i resumed collection, mainly for Star Wars 3 3/4 inch figures ...and that's the only line of figures of which has been kept in pretty good condition since way back. ( 10 years ago? )



Never knew much about 12' inch figures or such highly detailed figures till i chanced upon Shaun's Blog, chatted with him via his tagboard, and through his advice and introduction and FASCINATING pictures of diverse toys and all the awesome 12' inch stuff, i've picked up 12' inch collecting and never looked back since. ( except when cruel fate chooses to drain my pocket and pops up with tempting variants of star wars figures )

Also would like to take the opportunity to thank Shaun for his help in answering my queries and recommendation to 12'inch figures and also for giving me heads up on stuff i couldn't find. Thank you Shaun!

Hot Toys 12' inch The Dark Knight Batman

Just opened my bats today to display on the new shelf i brought in also, today.
Not really very good pictures, but just some quick ones for keepsakes.

Must add that the cape's a real pain to hook on as it kept falling off since i fiddled with it. Darn. Now despite putting it back on, it just doesn't look the same...hell.

Left 4 Dead

Preordered the game at Lot 1's comics connection, at just SGD58. Comes with two free mousepads, one given upon preorder and the other upon collection. This is how it looks.

A tad' hyped up about this game, the whole zombie-apocalypse thing. If any of you other fellow collectors do have this game and would like to pair up in co-op, just drop me a message at my tagboard. Cheers!

Just found out about this upcoming figure from Sideshow via forums.

It's a repaint of the stormtrooper released this year by sideshow, and this Stormtrooper Commander figure is based on The Force Unleashed video game.

pretty awesome figure to collect apart from the Utapau's 212th battalion trooper

Hot Toys Bank Robber Joker: Picture review

Found some pretty dissapointing photos from collectors who got their hands on their own BR joker on the forums.

This was what we expected when we threw our cash down for preordering.

This wasn't what we expected.

Seriously.

Why so serious after viewing this pictures?

cause he looks like he's got a allergy to peanuts which causes his lips to swell.

don't you think so?

his makeup doesn't look white. its totally off.

hopefully it isn't going to be like this, and its just a photography/ lightning problem.

or we're plaintatively fucked over.
